Vebel began operations in 1977 supplying the local footwear industry with TPU and EVA compounds.
Since then, TPU has remained the company's core-business, which has been joined over time by SEBS-based TPEs, thermoplastic copolyesters and only in recent years engineering plastics like PC, POM, PBT, PA6, PA66, PPA, PBT AND ABS.
The production plant occupies an area of 6,000 square meters, partly using energy from renewable sources.

TPU/ Thermoplastic polyurethanes are characterized by many high properties, including elasticity, transparency, resistance to oil, grease, and very good abrasion resistance. Technically, they are soft plastics which are part the thermoplastic elastomers family.
TPU can be ether based or esther based.
Ether-based TPU is characterized by excellent mechanical properties and high abrasion resistance.
Ether-based TPUoffer also excellent hydrolysis resistance and resistance to microorganisms very good low temperature flexibility and improved resitance to oil and greases.
VEBEL TPU are market under the name Vthan, produced exlusively from recycled feedstock in color black or natural. Mainly our TPU are esther based but upon request ether based are also available.
Hardness goes from 70 sha to 89 sha and from 35shd to 65 shd. Standard grades are the following:
